Pilot Program of Patent Prosecution Highway in Five Countries Initiated (Feb-2014)

The Intellectual Protection Offices in China, America, Europe, Japan and Korea (IP5) have agreed to initiate the pilot program of the Patent Prosecution Highway (IP5 PPH) in above 5 counties. Said pilot program is a three-year program started from January 6, 2014 to January 5, 2017.

According to said pilot program, if a patent application has been granted in any one of the above five countries, the applicant may request the remaining four Intellectual Protection Offices to speed up the examination to that patent application.
