Ten Cases of Patent Reexamination Invalidation in 2019 (2020-4)
China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) selects 10 representative cases from its annually examined pool to publish as the 10 cases of the year.
On April 26, 2020, CNIPA released its 10 representative patent reexamination invalidation cases in 2019. These 10 cases consisted of nine invalidation cases and one patent reexamination case. Among them, the nine invalidation cases included six invention patent invalidation cases, one case of invalidation on designs and two cases of invalidation on utility models.
The annual release of the 10 exemplary cases advances our understanding of the standard and scale of the reexamination and invalidation process, thereby improving the overall quality of patent agency.
